Its opening line calls him Shiva's own form and the axe of the Kali age; its closing one makes him the helmsman of the boat that carries a person to a good end. The devotional matter sits between them and is put as a habit rather than a feat: he keeps Rama and Sita in the heart at all times, speaks Rama's name and qualities with the mouth, and tastes the sweet juice of loving devotion.
