Lord Hanuman

śrī aṃjanī kumāra kī āratī

(Hanuman Ji Ki Aarti in English (IAST))

Also known as hanuman ji mantra · ji ki aarti · hanuman aarti pdf

The aarti of Anjani's son, and what it chooses to praise is unusual for the form — this is Hanuman the scholar. Conqueror of mind and senses, of vast understanding, a treasury of the arts and a singer of great skill, of measureless range in prosody and grammar and the sciences, and the crest-jewel of the learned. Its opening line calls him Shiva's own form and the axe of the Kali age; its closing one makes him the helmsman of the boat that carries a person to a good end. The devotional matter sits between them and is put as a habit rather than a feat: he keeps Rama and Sita in the heart at all times, speaks Rama's name and qualities with the mouth, and tastes the sweet juice of loving devotion. A forest fire to the demon-wood, and the victorious captain of the monkey army.
