(Parashurama Krita Durga Stotram in Assamese)
Also known as parashurama krita durga stotra · srikrsnasya ca goloke paripurnatamasya ca avirbhuta
Sixty-two verses from the Ganapati Khanda of the Brahmavaivarta Purana, spoken by Parashurama to the Goddess and ending in an apology. The praise begins before creation, with her appearing from Krishna's body in Goloka and the great egg born after it, then divides her into five — the presiding power of Krishna's breath, of the Vedas, of prosperity, of passion, and Sarvamangala — and then names her as the consort in every divine household, Shachi to Indra, Svaha to Agni, Arundhati to Vasishtha, Ahalya to Gautama. A long run of verses ends alike, bowing to the Durga by whose praise Brahma was freed of Madhu and Kaitabha and by whose command wind, sun and death go about their work. Then Parashurama weeps for an offence the verses never name, and she gives him fearlessness.
