ପର୍ଵତଵର୍ଧିନ୍ଯଷ୍ଟକମ୍ (ଶ୍ରୀ ରାମ କୃତ)

Eight verses to the goddess of Rameshwaram ascribed to Rama himself, each closing on the same line: I salute her who was raised on the mountain, whose face is smiling, the queen of Ramanatha. The ascription is not left to a colophon. The ninth verse breaks the refrain to name who is asking — protect me, Rama, and Janaka's daughter, and my brother, and Sugriva and the chief monkeys, all of them — and an earlier verse has her coming to the causeway for the welfare of the whole world. The fourth verse is a chain of vocatives gathering her other names, Durga and Gauri and Bhavani and Parvati and Sharvani and Uma, daughter of the lord of mountains. Elsewhere she is served by all the rivers and lakes and seas, and her feet are marked in the hair-partings of the wives of gandharvas and serpents.
