Lord Rama

śrīrāmacaṃdrāṃcī āratī

(Shree Ramchandra Aarti (Kay Karu Ge May — Marathi) in English (IAST))

(kāya karūṃ ge māya ātāṃ kavaṇā oṃvāl̤ū)

Also known as shree ramchandra aarti marathi · ramchandra aarti (kay karu ge may — marathi)

A short Marathi arati that begins by refusing its own occasion. What shall I do, mother, the first line asks — to whom am I to wave the lamp? Wherever I look, the gracious Rajaram is already there. The answer it settles on is to wave the lamp to the self-form of Rama, since in Rama's form no secondness appears to us at all. The third and last verse widens it: Rama has entered as one into the shape of the three worlds. The signature at the close names Keshavaraj and gives the grace of the true teacher as the reason he can see it. Four lines in all, and every one of them is an Advaita argument rather than a description.
