ಶ್ರೀ ಸತ್ಯನಾರಾಯಣ ಜೀ ಕೀ ಆರತೀ

The arati that closes the Satyanarayana vow, and it works by rehearsing the story the katha has just told. The god appeared in the Kali age and gave sight of himself to a brahmin, and, having taken the form of an aged brahmin, made a palace of gold; he showed grace to a poor woodcutter of the Bhils; he took away the trouble of a king named Chandrachuda; and a merchant who got what he wanted and then let go of his faith ate that fruit and praised him again afterwards. That last is the moral of the whole observance and the arati states it without softening. The offering is named as it is actually made, prasada of a measure and a quarter, with split pulse and fruit and dried fruit, incense and lamp and tulasi.
