Goddess Radha

ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಧಾಕೃಷ್ಣ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರಮ್ (ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾದಿಕೃತ)

(Sri Radhakrsna Stotram Brahmadikrta in Kannada)

Also known as shri radha krishna stotram brahmavaivarta purana · shri radhakrsna stotram brahmadikrta · shree radhakrsna stotram brahmadikrta

A short hymn from the Brahmavaivarta Purāṇa in which Brahmā and the gods after him each speak, and each takes a single image and holds it for a whole verse. Brahmā's is the bee: may the bee of my mind wander always at your lotus feet with the devotion of love; guard me with the medicine of peace from the disease of birth and death, and give me a firm and fully ripened devotion, and service. Śaṅkara's answers it with a fish: my mind is a fish sunk in the ocean of becoming, wandering forever in this terrible well of the world; take away the contemptible taste for objects, which is the very shape of creation and destruction, and give me devotion at your lotus feet. The third asks for something more particular than either — constant company with your own people, which it calls a sharp sword for cutting the bondage of the senses.
