Krishnavadhuta

Also known as shri raghavendra samsaroddharana stotram · shree raghavendra samsaroddharana stotram · raghavendra samsaroddharana stotram

Ten verses from the Raghavendra Tantra of Krishnavadhuta whose verse-initial syllables spell a salutation to Raghavendra, and whose refrain is one sentence repeated without change: king among teachers, lift me out, fallen as I am into the well of the round of birth. The image is held to from the first line to the last — a well, and a man already down in it. The verses give both the reason he is there, a mind bewildered by woman and wealth and son, and the reason for expecting to be lifted, that the teacher's feet are as the wish-granting tree to those who have taken shelter under them. Of the three hymns from this section in the corpus, this is the only one that asks for nothing worldly.
