శ్రీ ఆదిత్య స్తోత్రమ్

The Bhaviṣya Purāṇa's hymn of the hundred and eight names, framed at the outset as a remedy: the nine planets beginning with the Sun afflict men constantly and each separately, and a king is told to hear the names of the shining one, since the affliction of all of them subsides in the hearing. The names run through his offices — Dinanātha and Dinakara, Karmasākṣin who witnesses every act, Padminībodhaka who wakes the lotus, Jagatsākṣin, the father of Śanaiścara — and then through his medicine: Dhanvantari, the taker-away of disease, the destroyer of dadru and kuṣṭha. At the end he is named as each of the nine planets in turn, and as Nārāyaṇa, Mahādeva and Rudra together. Its phalaśruti asks for recitation on Sunday. A litany drawn out of this same hymn circulates separately as the Ādityāṣṭottaraśatanāmāvalī.
