ಶ್ರೀಭ್ರಮರಾಮ್ಬಾಷ್ಟಕಮ್

Eight verses to Bhramaramba at Srisailam, and they are built as a head-to-foot description taken in strict order, one region of the body to a verse. The first stays at the feet, with the auspicious lines on the soles read as a parasol and a pitcher; the second takes the tortoise-shaped arch of the foot and the shanks, and calls them the quiver of Kama; the third goes to the knees, likened to the frontal lobes of an elephant, and to the thighs, and to the waist marked with the Shrichakra. Each verse ends the same way, naming her Bhramaramba of Srishaila, joined with Shiva, whose form is nothing but consciousness — so the final clause keeps returning the reader from the body being described to what it is being said to be.
