(Sri Durga Ashtottara Shatanamavali (Narada Rishi))
Also known as shri durga ashtottara shatanamavali (narada rishi) · shree durga ashtottara shatanamavali (narada rishi) · durga ashtottara shatanamavali (narada rishi)
A hundred and eight names of Durga whose viniyoga names Narada as their seer and, unusually, gives krishnanuja — the younger sister of Krishna — as the power of the mantra, keeping the Goddess born to Yashoda inside the same recitation. The meditation verse holds her in a plain and gentle form: vermilion-coloured, very soft of limb, three-eyed, standing in the middle of light with only two hands, one giving and one granting safety. The names begin with the stiller of poverty and the destroyer of sin, run through the series the Saptashati sings in all beings — Lakshmi, Lajja, Shraddha, Pushti, Svadha — and end where the meditation began, on the vermilion-coloured Shri Durga Devi.
