ଶ୍ରୀ କମଲାମ୍ବିକା ସ୍ତୋତ୍ରମ୍

Eight verses to Kamalambika of Tiruvarur, and the second verse settles what she is: dweller in the middle of the seat of Kameshvara, Rajarajeshwari, whose two feet are served by Sarasvati, a sea of gracious mercy — which places her in the Srividya tradition rather than among the Lakshmi hymns her name might suggest. The first verse describes her in the manner of that school: bright as the bandhuka flower, her face the disc of the moon, bowed to by the gods, worshipped with mandara and the rest, sweet as honey, faintly smiling, beautiful, three-eyed, who cuts the bond and gives both enjoyment and release. The closing verse promises children and prosperity, the eight accomplishments, the destruction of anxiety, and finally one's own unequalled and spotless state of brahman.
