ಶ್ರೀ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರಮ್ (ಮೋಹಿನೀ ಕೃತಮ್)

Titled as a hymn to Krishna, and filed here for that reason, but the god it addresses throughout is Kama. Its first verse says so: the mind, best of the senses and a portion of Vishnu, is the seed of all action — salutation to you who were born of it. What follows is Kamadeva's vocabulary and nobody else's — seed of love, lord and beloved of Rati, whose vehicle is woman and whose weapon is woman, whose minister is the scented breeze, friend of the spring, five-arrowed; ender of the lives of lovers kept apart, seed of obstruction to the austerities of ascetics, able to make even a freed mind desire again. Mohini speaks it silently before Brahma and then falls quiet with her face bowed. The colophon puts it at the thirty-first chapter of the Krishna-janma-khanda, and says Durvasas taught it to her on Gandhamadana.
