ಶ್ರೀ ಸಿದ್ಧಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರಮ್

Viniyoga of the Śrī Siddha Lakṣmī Stotram: seer — Hiraṇyagarbha; meter — Anuṣṭup; deities — Śrī Mahākālī, Mahālakṣmī, Mahāsarasvatī; bīja — Śrīṃ; śakti — Hrīṃ; kīlaka — Klīṃ. Application: for removal of all afflictions and suffering, destruction of all poverty and sorrow, and accomplishment of all aims — the recitation of this Śrī Siddhalakṣmī Stotram.

Ṛṣyādi Nyāsa (assignment of the seer and other elements): Oṃ — salutation to the seer Hiraṇyagarbha on the crown of the head. Salutation to the Anuṣṭup meter at the mouth. Salutation to the three deities Mahākālī-Mahālakṣmī-Mahāsarasvatī at the heart. Salutation to the bīja Śrīṃ at the hidden center. Salutation to the śakti Hrīṃ at the feet. Salutation to the kīlaka Klīṃ at the navel. Salutation to the application (viniyoga) throughout all limbs.

Kara Nyāsa (placement on the hands): Oṃ Śrīṃ — salutation to Siddhalakṣmī — on the two thumbs. Oṃ Hrīṃ — salutation to Viṣṇutējas — on the two forefingers. Oṃ Klīṃ — salutation to Amṛtānandā — on the two middle fingers. Oṃ Śrīṃ — salutation to Daityamālinī — on the two ring-fingers. Oṃ Hrīṃ — salutation to Tējaḥprakāśinī — on the two little fingers. Oṃ Klīṃ — salutation to Brāhmī, Vaiṣṇavī, Rudrāṇī — on the palms and backs of the hands.

Aṅga Nyāsa (placement on the body-limbs): Oṃ Śrīṃ Siddhalakṣmyai — salutation — on the heart. Oṃ Hrīṃ Viṣṇutējasē — Svāhā — on the crown of the head. Oṃ Klīṃ Amṛtānandāyai — Vaṣaṭ — on the topknot. Oṃ Śrīṃ Daityamālinyai — Hum — on the armor (kavaca). Oṃ Hrīṃ Tējaḥprakāśinyai — Vauṣaṭ — on the three eyes. Oṃ Klīṃ Brāhmyai Vaiṣṇavyai Rudrāṇyai — Phaṭ — as the weapon-gesture throughout all limbs.

Dhyāna (meditation): Meditate upon her as Brāhmī and Vaiṣṇavī, auspicious, six-armed, four-faced, three-eyed, bearing a sword, trident, lotus, discus, and mace — the radiant one adorned with divine ornaments of every kind, wearing yellow garments, holding a mass of effulgence, most excellent — to be meditated as a youthful maiden.

Wearing yellow garments, the Devī adorned with ornaments of every kind, bearing a mass of radiance, most excellent — one should meditate upon her as a youthful maiden.

Oṃkāra — [she is] the form of Lakṣmī; Viṣṇu — [he is] the imperishable Vāgbhava; Viṣṇu — the unmanifest Ānanda; Hrīṃkāra — [she is] the one whose form is the seed-syllable. [To these] I bow.

Klīṃ — to Amṛtānandinī (she who revels in nectar-bliss), the auspicious one, the bestower of true bliss; Śrīṃ — to Daityaśamanī (the queller of demons), the Śakti, Mālinī, the vanquisher of enemies.

The illuminatrix of radiance, the Devī, the boon-giver, the auspicious doer; Brāhmī, Vaiṣṇavī, Raudrī, the one resplendent in the form of Kālikā — [to her, salutation].

In the letter 'A' [of Oṃ], [she is] the form of Lakṣmī; in the letter 'U', [he is] the imperishable Viṣṇu; the letter 'M' is the unmanifest Puruṣa — the Devī [as a whole] is called the Praṇava (Oṃ).

Radiant as crores of suns, of the same splendor as crores of moons — within that [luminous expanse], a subtle mass established as the form of Brahman.

Oṃkāra, supreme bliss, ever the beautiful one of the gods — O Siddhalakṣmī! O Mokṣalakṣmī! O Ādyalakṣmī! Salutation to you.

Śrīṃkāra, supreme, accomplished, giver of all intelligence — O one of auspicious fortune, O Nectar, O Kamalā, O Satyalakṣmī! Salutation to you.

Hrīṃkāra, supremely pure, giver of supreme lordship — O Kamalā, O Dhanadā, O Lakṣmī, O Bhogalakṣmī! Salutation to you.

Klīṃkāra, taking the form of desire, fulfiller of all longings — O Capalā, O Cañcalā, O Lakṣmī, O Kātyāyanī! Salutation to you.

Śrīṃkāra, the form of accomplishment (siddhi), giver of all accomplishments — O lotus-faced one, O Mother of the World, O Aṣṭalakṣmī! Salutation to you.

O Auspicious of the auspicious! O Śivā (beneficent)! O accomplisher of all aims! O giver of refuge! O three-eyed Gaurī! O Nārāyaṇī! Salutation to you.

The first is Tryambakā-Gaurī; the second is Vaiṣṇavī; the third is declared to be Kamalā; the fourth is Sundarī.

The fifth is Viṣṇuśakti; the sixth is Kātyāyanī; the seventh is indeed Vārāhī; and the eighth is Harivallabhā.

The ninth is declared to be Khaḍginī (sword-bearer); the tenth is Devikā; the eleventh is Siddhalakṣmī; and the twelfth is Haṃsavāhinī (she whose vehicle is the swan).

Uttara Nyāsa (concluding placement): Oṃ Śrīṃ Siddhalakṣmyai — salutation — on the heart. Oṃ Hrīṃ Viṣṇutējasē — Svāhā — on the crown. Oṃ Klīṃ Amṛtānandāyai — Vaṣaṭ — on the topknot. Oṃ Śrīṃ Daityamālinyai — Hum — on the armor. Oṃ Hrīṃ Tējaḥprakāśinyai — Vauṣaṭ — on the three eyes. Oṃ Klīṃ Brāhmyai Vaiṣṇavyai Rudrāṇyai — Phaṭ — as the weapon throughout all limbs.

Those persons who always recite this excellent stotram of the Devī are liberated from all calamities — there is no doubt in this matter.

One who recites this [stotram] three times daily for one month, two months, three months, four months, five months, or six months continuously...

A Brahmin who is afflicted, suffering, tormented by fear and poverty — is freed from all sins accumulated across thousands of births.

The destitute obtains Lakṣmī; the childless becomes blessed with children. One becomes blessed, famous, a destroyer of enemies, and protected from fire and theft.

Against Śākinī demons, ghosts, vetālas, serpents, and tigers; in royal courts, public assemblies, and during imprisonment — [the recitation of this stotram protects].

This stotram composed by Īśvara (Śiva) is beneficial to all living beings. Let Brāhmins recite it daily — poverty shall never afflict them.

Lakṣmī who removes all sins and bestows all accomplishments — practitioners obtain everything by continuous recitation of this stotram.

That Śrī who dwells in lotus-forests, on kadamba-treetops, in royal palaces, on elephants, on white steeds, on the sacred bull, on the pair of sacred animals, at the sacrificial post, in conch-shells, in divine lineages, in kings' palaces, on the banks of the Gaṅgā, in Gōkula — may that Śrī dwell in my home always, ever immovable.

She who is seated on the lotus throne, with broad and graceful hips, with eyes wide as lotus-petals, with deep whirling navel, bowing forward under the weight of her bosom, clad in spotless white garments — Lakṣmī, bathed by divine royal elephants pouring from gem-studded golden pitchers — she who is ever lotus-handed: may she ever dwell in my home, the source of all auspiciousness.
