ಶ್ರೀ ವೇಙ್ಕಟೇಶ್ವರ ದ್ವಾದಶಮಞ್ಜರಿಕಾ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರಮ್

Twelve verses, each ending in the same verb — bhajāmahe, we worship — and each attaching it to a different name of the same hill, so the text is a tour of the god's titles rather than of his deeds. He is Śrīnivāsa dwelling on the crown of Śeṣādri, then Veṅkaṭeśa who took the boar's form for the earth's sake and is known only at the end of the Vedas, then Vṛṣādrīśa with a serene lotus face, then Śeṣādrīśa the ocean of compassion, then Siṃhādrīśa who is the raincloud on the peak and the guardian of the cātaka bird that waits for it, then Tīrthādrīśa bright with the musk mark and worshipped in the mind with tulasī. Naming one deity by six hills in six verses is the local form of the devotion, since the shrine is understood to sit on a range that carries many names.
