ഭ്രമരാമ്ബികാ അഷ്ടകമ്

O Goddess adorned with gem earrings, whose three eyes are the sun, moon and fire (ravisudhākara vahnilōchana ratnakuṇḍala bhūṣiṇī) — O spotless and supremely pure one who rules over us (pravimalambuga mammunēlina) — O wish-fulfilling gem for all devotees (bhaktajana chintāmaṇī) — O Mother of all the people of this earth (avani janulaku) — reveal yourself to us in your grace!

In this Kali age, will you not be like the wish-fulfilling tree for all humanity (kaliyugambuna mānavulakunu kalpataruvai yuṇḍavā)? O one who manifests gloriously on Śrī Śikhara — the sacred Śrīśailam hill — will you not shine forth in all your divine splendour (śrī śikharamanduna vibhavamai vilasillavā)? O Mother, do not delay — arise and bless us!

In the lands of Aṅga, Vaṅga, Kaliṅga, Kāśmīra and Āndhra (aṅga vaṅga kaliṅga kāśmīrāndhra dēśamulandunan), in the overflowing boon-granting sacred lands of Koṅkaṇa (varahāla koṅkaṇa puṇyabhūmula yandunan), in all of Karṇāṭaka and across all these holy regions — your divine presence and glory pervade all the sacred lands.

O eternal and imperishable goddess (akṣayambuga) — O Annapūrṇā, O Bhavānī within Kāśī (kāśilōpala annapūrṇa bhavānivai) — O Śāmbhavī, O mother who is witnessed and praised by Gaṇapati himself (sākṣigaṇapati kanna tallivi), endowed with all noble virtues (sadguṇāvati) — you are the goddess who grants liberation (mōkṣamōsageḍu) and all that is wished.

O goddess with fierce and blazing eyes (ugralōchana), O precious jewel among divine consorts (varavadhūmaṇi), O proud and spirited goddess (koppugalgina bhāminī), whose form shines as the greatest and most splendid of all (vigrahambula kella ghanamai), the bringer of all auspiciousness (velayu śōbhanakāriṇī) — O one who presides at the supreme sacred seat (agrapīṭhamunandu) — I bow to you.

O one who transcends even the Vedas (nigamagōchara), O Nīlakuṇḍali (the blue-tressed one), the immaculate and stainless (nirmalāṅgi nirañjanī), O supremely beautiful one adorned with fragrant flowers (migula chakkani puṣpakōmali), with eyes like fish (mīnanētra), O ocean of compassion (dayānidhī), the most celebrated in all the worlds (jagatilōna prasid[dhā]) — bless me with your grace.

O consort of the crescent-moon-crested Śiva (sōmaśēkhara pallavādhari), O jewel of beauties (sundarīmaṇī), O wise and discerning one (dhīmaṇī), of tender and delicate form (kōmalāṅgi), O ocean of compassion (kṛpāpayōnidhi), with curling locks of hair (kuṭilakuntala), O great yoginī — may you never abandon my heart (nā manambuna pāyakuṇḍa)!

You are united with Bhūtanātha — Lord Śiva — on his left side (bhūtanāthuni vāmabhāgamu pondugā chēkonduvā); you dwell gloriously and with great renown on Śrīśailam (khyātiganu śrīśailamuna vikhyātigā nelakoṇṭivā); you wash away all sins (pātakambula pāradrōlu) — O Bhramarāmbikā, reveal your grace!

Your divine presence ever shines (ellavelasina nīdu bhāvamu) in Viṣṇuloka (viṣṇulōkamu nanduna); your glory flourishes in Brahmaloka (brahmalōkamu nanduna pallaviñchunu); your radiance pervades Kailāsa itself (kailāsa[munu]) — O Goddess whose fame reaches all the divine realms — be gracious to your devoted servant.

O youthful goddess, O consort of Mallikārjuna on the divine Śrī Giri (taruṇi śrīgiri mallikārjuna daivarāyala bhāminī), ever bless me with your grace at all times (karuṇatō mammēlu yeppuḍu) — O one who is like the wish-fulfilling tree in full bloom (kalpavṛkṣamu bhaṅginī) — may your divine staff of grace (nī yaṣṭa) always protect me. Victory to Goddess Bhramarāmbikā of Śrīśailam!
