करचरणकृतं वा

This verse is a heartfelt plea to the Lord (Shiva) for forgiveness for any sins committed through various faculties—hands, feet, speech, body, actions, mind, ears, and eyes. Through these different faculties, we may err in various ways: Kara (Hands) – Hands are our primary instruments of physical creation. The hands that create can also destroy! They grasp with greed, strike in anger, take what isn't ours, and engage in dishonest deeds. Through ignorance or intent, they become tools of harm rather than help.
