কুন্ত্যুবাচ।
নমস্যে পুরুষং ত্বাদ্যমীশ্বরং প্রকৃতেঃ পরম্ ।
অলক্ষ্যং সর্বভূতানামন্তর্বহিরবস্থিতম্ ॥ 18 ॥
Kunti said: I offer my obeisances unto You, the Primal Purusha, the Supreme Controller, who exists beyond the material nature. You remain invisible to all living beings, yet You abide both within their hearts and throughout the entire creation.
মাযাজবনিকাচ্ছন্নমজ্ঞাধোক্ষজমব্যযম্ ।
ন লক্ষ্যসে মূঢদৃশা নটো নাট্যধরো যথা ॥ 19 ॥
You are veiled by the curtain of Your illusory energy (Maya), and because You are transcendental to material senses, You remain hidden from the ignorant. Just as a masked actor performing on stage is not recognized by the audience, You are not perceived by those with material vision.
তথা পরমহংসানাং মুনীনামমলাত্মনাম্ ।
ভক্তিযোগবিধানার্থং কথং পশ্যেম হি স্ত্রিযঃ ॥ 20 ॥
If even the great sages and self-realized souls, whose hearts are completely purified, struggle to behold You, how is it possible for us women of limited intelligence to truly perceive You, who descend solely to establish the path of devotional service?
কৃষ্ণায বাসুদেবায দেবকীনন্দনায চ ।
নন্দগোপকুমারায গোবিন্দায নমো নমঃ ॥ 21 ॥
My repeated obeisances unto Lord Krishna, the son of Vasudeva, the delight of Devaki, the beloved cowherd boy of Nanda, and the protector of the cows and senses, Govinda.
নমঃ পঙ্কজনাভায নমঃ পঙ্কজমালিনে ।
নমঃ পঙ্কজনেত্রায নমস্তে পঙ্কজাঙ্ঘ্রযে ॥ 22 ॥
Obeisances unto You, whose navel is shaped like a lotus. Obeisances unto You, who are adorned with a garland of lotuses. Obeisances unto You, whose eyes are like lotus petals, and obeisances unto You, whose feet are as beautiful as lotuses.
যথা হৃষীকেশ খলেন দেবকী কংসেন রুদ্ধাতিচিরং শুচার্পিতা ।
বিমোচিতাহং চ সহাত্মজা বিভো ত্বযৈব নাথেন মুহুর্বিপদ্গণাত্ ॥ 23 ॥
O Hrishikesha, just as Devaki was long held captive and distressed by the wicked Kamsa, I and my children have been repeatedly delivered from various calamities by You alone, for You are our true Protector and Master.
বিষান্মহাগ্নেঃ পুরুষাদদর্শনাদসত্সভাযা বনবাসকৃচ্ছ্রতঃ ।
মৃধে মৃধেঽনেকমহার়থাস্ত্রতো দ্রৌণ্যস্ত্রতশ্চাস্ম হরেঽভিরক্ষিতাঃ ॥ 24 ॥
O Hari, You have protected us from many dangers: from poison, from the great fire, from the man-eating demons, from the assembly of the wicked, from the sufferings of forest exile, from the weapons of many great warriors in various battles, and finally, from the devastating weapon of Drona’s son.
বিপদঃ সন্তু তাঃ শশ্বত্তত্র তত্র জগদ্গুরো ।
ভবতো দর্শনং যত্স্যাদপুনর্ভবদর্শনম্ ॥ 25 ॥
May those calamities continue to occur again and again, O Lord of the Universe, so that we may see You repeatedly, for the sight of You means we will never again have to witness the cycle of birth and death.
জন্মৈশ্বর্যশ্রুতশ্রীভিরেধমানমদঃ পুমান্ ।
নৈবার্হত্যভিধাতুং বৈ ত্বামকিঞ্চনগোচরম্ ॥ 26 ॥
A person who becomes intoxicated by the pride of noble birth, opulence, deep knowledge, and physical beauty is truly unfit to address You, for You are only accessible to those who possess nothing but You.
নমোঽকিঞ্চনবিত্তায নিবৃত্তগুণবৃত্তযে ।
আত্মারামায শান্তায কৈবল্যপতযে নমঃ ॥ 27 ॥
My obeisances unto You, the wealth of the destitute. You are free from the movements of the material modes, You find joy only within Yourself, You are perfectly peaceful, and You are the Lord of liberation.
মন্যে ত্বাং কালমীশানমনাদিনিধনং বিভুম্ ।
সমং চরন্তং সর্বত্র ভূতানাং যন্মিথঃ কলিঃ ॥ 28 ॥
I recognize You as the eternal Time, the Lord of all, without beginning or end, pervading everything. You move equally among all beings, yet the conflicts between them arise from their own illusory attachments.
ন বেদ কশ্চিদ্ভগবংশ্চিকীর্ষিতং তবেহমানস্য নৃণাং বিডম্বনম্ ।
ন যস্য কশ্চিদ্দযিতোঽস্তি কর্হিচিদ্দ্বেষ্যশ্চ যস্মিন্বিষমা মতির্নৃণাম্ ॥ 29 ॥
O Lord, no one can fathom Your divine play, which You perform in the guise of human activities. You have no one who is especially dear or hateful, yet due to their own clouded vision, people perceive inequality in You.
জন্ম কর্ম চ বিশ্বাত্মন্নজস্যাকর্তুরাত্মনঃ ।
তির্যন্নৃষিষু যাদঃসু তদত্যন্তবিডম্বনম্ ॥ 30 ॥
O Soul of the Universe, it is a profound mystery that You, who are unborn and have no need to act, take birth and perform deeds among animals, humans, sages, and aquatic creatures.
গোপ্যাদদে ত্বযি কৃতাগসি দাম তাবদ্যাতে দশাশ্রুকলিলাঞ্জনসম্ভ্রমাক্ষম্ ।
বক্ত্রং নিনীয ভযভাবনযা স্থিতস্য সা মাং বিমোহযতি ভীরপি যদ্বিভেতি ॥ 31 ॥
I am bewildered by the sight of You—the One whom even fear itself fears—standing before Mother Yashoda with eyes full of tears and mascara, trembling in fear because You broke a pot and were to be tied with a rope for Your transgression.
কেচিদাহুরজং জাতং পুণ্যশ্লোকস্য কীর্তযে ।
যদোঃ প্রিযস্যান্ববাযে মলযস্যেব চন্দনম্ ॥ 32 ॥
Some say that You, the Unborn, took birth to spread the fame of those whose lives are righteous, just as the sandalwood tree appears in the Malaya mountains to spread its fragrance.
অপরে বসুদেবস্য দেবক্যাং যাচিতোঽভ্যগাত্ ।
অজস্ত্বমস্য ক্ষেমায বধায চ সুরদ্বিষাম্ ॥ 33 ॥
Others say that You, the Unborn, appeared in the womb of Devaki because You were supplicated by Vasudeva, intending to bring auspiciousness to His lineage and to destroy the enemies of the demigods.
ভারাবতারণাযান্যে ভুবো নাব ইবোদধৌ ।
সীদন্ত্যা ভূরিভারেণ জাতো হ্যাত্মভুবার্থিতঃ ॥ 34 ॥
Others say You descended at the request of Lord Brahma to lighten the burden of the Earth, just as a boat is brought to the ocean to rescue those who are sinking under a heavy load.
ভবেস্মিন্ক্লিশ্যমানানামবিদ্যাকামকর্মভিঃ ।
শ্রবণস্মরণার্হাণি করিষ্যন্নিতি কেচন ॥ 35 ॥
Still others say that You appeared to perform acts worthy of being heard and remembered by those who are suffering in this world, bound by the chains of ignorance, desire, and karma.
শৃণ্বন্তি গাযন্তি গৃণন্ত্যভীক্ষ্ণশঃ স্মরন্তি নন্দন্তি তবেহিতং জনাঃ ।
ত এব পশ্যন্ত্যচিরেণ তাবকং ভবপ্রবাহোপরমং পদাম্বুজম্ ॥ 36 ॥
Those who constantly hear, sing, praise, remember, and take delight in Your transcendental pastimes will soon behold Your lotus feet, which alone can bring the cycle of birth and death to a halt.
অপ্যদ্য নস্ত্বং স্বকৃতেহিত প্রভো জিহাসসি স্বিত্সুহৃদোঽনুজীবিনঃ ।
যেষাং ন চান্যদ্ভবতঃ পদাম্বুজাত্পরাযণং রাজসু যোজিতাংহসাম্ ॥ 37 ॥
O Lord, now that You have fulfilled Your mission, are You truly intending to leave us, Your friends and devoted servants? We have no other refuge than Your lotus feet, especially now that we are surrounded by sins committed in the course of ruling our kingdom.
কে বযং নামরূপাভ্যাং যদুভিঃ সহ পাণ্ডবাঃ ।
ভবতোঽদর্শনং যর্হি হৃষীকাণামিবেশিতুঃ ॥ 38 ॥
Who are we, the Pandavas and Yadavas, with our petty names and forms, compared to You? We are as insignificant as the senses would be without the presence of the presiding soul to enliven them.
নেযং শোভিষ্যতে তত্র যথেদানীং গদাধর ।
ত্বত্পদৈরঙ্কিতা ভাতি স্বলক্ষণবিলক্ষিতৈঃ ॥ 39 ॥
O Gadadhara, this land will no longer appear as beautiful as it does now, for presently it shines, marked by the auspicious impressions of Your lotus feet.
ইমে জনপদাঃ স্বৃদ্ধাঃ সুপক্বৌষধিবীরুধঃ ।
বনাদ্রিনদ্যুদন্বন্তো হ্যেধন্তে তব বীক্ষিতৈঃ ॥ 40 ॥
These regions, with their thriving populations, bountiful harvests, medicinal herbs, forests, mountains, rivers, and oceans, flourish solely because of Your merciful glance.
অথ বিশ্বেশ বিশ্বাত্মন্বিশ্বমূর্তে স্বকেষু মে ।
স্নেহপাশমিমং ছিন্ধি দৃঢং পাণ্ডুষু বৃষ্ণিষু ॥ 41 ॥
Therefore, O Lord of the universe, Soul of the universe, and Embodiment of the universe, please sever the deep-rooted bonds of affection I hold for my kinsmen, the Pandavas and the Vrishnis.
ত্বযি মেঽনন্যবিষযা মতির্মধুপতেঽসকৃত্ ।
রতিমুদ্বহতাদদ্ধা গঙ্গেবৌঘমুদন্বতি ॥ 42 ॥
O Lord of Madhu, may my consciousness be fixed exclusively upon You, flowing toward You incessantly and without obstruction, just as the waters of the Ganges flow continuously toward the sea.
শ্রীকৃষ্ণ কৃষ্ণসখ বৃষ্ণ্যৃষভাবনিদ্রুগ্রাজন্যবংশদহনানপবর্গবীর্য ।
গোবিন্দ গোদ্বিজসুরার্তিহরাবতার যোগেশ্বরাখিলগুরো ভগবন্নমস্তে ॥ 43 ॥
O Shri Krishna, friend of Arjuna, best of the Vrishni dynasty, destroyer of the oppressive royal lineages that burden the earth, possessor of inexhaustible power, O Govinda, You who incarnate to relieve the suffering of cows, brahmanas, and the demigods—O Lord of all yogis, teacher of the entire world, I offer my humble obeisances unto You.
