Nirguna Brahman

నీరాంజన ఆరతీ (పంచప్రాణాంచేం నీరాంజన)

(Niranjan Aarti Marathi in Telugu)

Also known as marathi aarti · aarti marathi · aarti in marathi

A Marathi arati in which every part of the lamp is replaced by something that is not a lamp. The five breaths are made into the lamp-vessel; the five elements are the wicks, and they are packed full; attachment and possessiveness are what they are soaked in, root and all; and what is lit from that is direct and unmediated light. The refrain turns it before the feet of the one being worshipped, who is himself called Niranjana, the stainless, so the whole thing is an offering of the worshipper's own constitution. The second verse states the result as a set of absences: no flame and no soot, no day and no night, only unbroken light, got by devotion. It closes with the poet saying he is filled with complete bliss and asking how much more he can possibly say. Signed Shivram.
