शिव पंचरत्नम्
(Shiva Pancharatnam)
Also known as shiva pancharatna stuti · krishna krita shiva pancharatnam · shiva purana pancharatnam
Five verses spoken by Krishna to Shiva, from the Chyutapuri Mahatmya in the Shiva Mahapurana — the god of one tradition praising the god of another, which is the point of preserving it. His lotus feet dance on the head of the maddened elephant; he is skilled at giving the accomplishments his devotees have thought of, lotus-eyed, giver of the fruit of both enjoyment and release, worshipped by Bhava and the lotus-born and Achyuta — and the speaker names himself in that last word. I take refuge in the wearer of the hide, who gives me every accomplishment. Each of the five closes on the same line, and the effect of hearing Krishna say it is quite different from hearing a devotee say it, which the purana clearly intends.
Script: Devanagari (देवनागरी) — also the script of Hindi, Marathi, Nepali and Konkani.
