ಶಿವ ಪಂಚರತ್ನಮ್

Shri Krishna said:

I seek refuge in the Lord, who grants all accomplishments, whose lotus feet dance atop the head of a maddened elephant, who is wise in granting the wishes of devotees, who has lotus-like eyes, who bestows both worldly enjoyment and liberation, who is worshiped by Brahma and Acyuta, and who is adorned with a tiger skin.

I seek refuge in the Lord, who grants all accomplishments, who is dear to the wealthy, worshiped by those who have performed severe penances, sought by sages with firm and pure devotion, who grants liberation, and whose lotus feet captivate the minds of yogis.

I seek refuge in the Lord, who grants all accomplishments, who is the destroyer of Daksha’s sacrifice, accompanied by the valorous Virabhadra and his hosts, worshiped by yakshas, rakshasas, humans, kinnaras, gods, and serpents, and whose lotus feet are surrounded by bees attracted to the nectar.

I seek refuge in the Lord, who grants all accomplishments, who wears the moon on his head, whose pure form is smeared with sandalwood paste and saffron from the breasts of Parvati, who is powerful, the creator of the entire universe, and the supreme lord.

I seek refuge in the Lord, who grants all accomplishments, whose lotus feet are adorned with gem-studded anklets resembling red lotuses, who has eyes like lotus petals, who wields a bow made of the mountain of wealth, and who has subdued the great serpent.

The Fruit of Recitation:

Whoever recites this five-gem hymn of Uma’s consort daily, which I have composed, will have all their sins burned away like cotton in a great fire. By the power of grace, may they be blessed with children, spouse, friends, and wealth. O eternal Maheshwara, Shankara, lord of the entire universe!
