Goddess Devi

śrīdevījī kī āratī

(Srideviji Ki Arati in English (IAST))

Also known as shree deviji aarti jagjanani · jaya jaya jaya jagajanani devi suranaramuniasurasevi

A short Hindi arati whose opening line stacks three victories and then a list of who serves her: victory, victory, victory, mother of the world, goddess served by gods and men and sages and demons alike. The second line names her Kalika and calls her the giver of devotion and release together and the remover of fear, which is the whole of the theology it offers. Eleven short lines carry it. The last returns to the only thing it has asked for from the beginning, protection for those who have bowed — give, it says, and protect the one who has bowed to you.
