ஶ்ரீ க்ரு'ஷ்ண மம்கல ஆரதீ

The morning aarti, and it works by repeating a single word until nothing in the scene is left uncovered by it. Auspicious is the lamp of Gopal; auspicious the form and the brow; auspicious the birth, the deeds and the qualities; auspicious Yashoda's butter-thief; auspicious the flute and the fine crown; auspicious the cows, the dust of the ground, the foam on the water of the Kalindi. It is a waking song and says so — the night of delusion is over, day has come, and the auspicious form of Nandlal rises. Six pads make it up, and they carry the names of two of the eight seal poets of the Pushtimarga, Chaturbhuj Das in the first and Paramananda Das in three of the others. It is the counterpart of the bedtime aarti, sung at the first opening of the shrine rather than at the last closing of it.
