ଶ୍ରୀ ନୃସିଂହାଷ୍ଟୋତ୍ତରଶତନାମସ୍ତୋତ୍ରମ୍

The hundred and eight names of Nṛsiṃha in verse, and the list stays with force throughout rather than alternating fierce and gentle as most aṣṭottaras do: great lion, divine lion, fierce lion, fire-eyed, terrible, of dreadful stride, flame-mouthed, garlanded with flame, hard to look upon, whose weapon is his own great tusk, gaunt and gaunter still, thunderbolt-clawed, thousand-armed. What makes the text specifically useful is its last verse, which leaves the general names and enumerates the nine established forms of the god in order — Jvālā, Ahobila, Mālola, Krodā, Kāraṇja, Bhārgava, Yogānanda, Chatravaṭa and Pāvana. Those are the nine shrines of Ahobilam, so the hymn ends by turning from an attribute-list into a pilgrimage, naming each place where one of the nine is worshipped.
