Goddess Yogeshwari

āratī yogeśvarīcī

(Yogeshwari Aarti in English (IAST))

Also known as jayadevi jayadevi jaya yogesvari mahima na

A Marathi arati to Yogeshwari that works as a walking tour of Ambejogai, naming the places of the town one after another. The blessed city of Amba, a field of yoginis where Parvati came down and where the killing of Dantasura was performed; then the great door where every ford is gathered, and the Mayamochana that undoes illusion; then the bank of the Vana where practitioners get their attainment; then the Siddhalinga shrine and the Narasimha ford beside it; the original seat at Renagiri, and the Godavari place called the mother's home of saints; then Kalabhairava, and the Nagajhari ford, called the essence of fords, where a rinsing destroys faults. Only the last verse leaves the map, calling her power without end and her name famous in the three worlds. Signed Nilkanth.
