Lord Vitthal

శ్రీ విష్ణూచీ ఆరతీ (సంతసనకాదిక భక్త)

(Shree Vishnu Aarti (Marathi) in Telugu)

Also known as vishnu aarti (marathi) · marathi aarti · vishnu ki aarti

Eknath's Marathi arati to Vishnu, and its subject is not the god but the crowd standing in front of him: it describes the arati while it is being performed. The saints have gathered, Sanaka and his brothers among them, many of them, roaring in their own delight, come to see the wonder. Then the wonder spreads outward, and the gods come down out of heaven to watch Keshava's lamps being turned. Men and women stand where they are, unblinking, and as the light goes round that face the mind cannot get its fill. The last verse carries the poet's signature, Eka Janardani, and closes on the Vaishnavas assembled and roaring their victory cry. Three verses recording what a Varkari arati looks like from inside it.
