ଶ୍ରୀ ନଟେଶ ସ୍ତଵଃ

Seven verses to Nataraja, and their design is stated in the closing verse rather than the opening one: they are marked with the great five syllables of Chidambaram shining with the glory of maya — that is, each verse begins on one syllable of a mantra, so the seven together spell it. The first runs on the syllable hri, the second on shri, and so on. What they describe is Nataraja read through Srividya: in the hall of knowledge, shining with the form of the five colours, his feet praised by Sarasvati, worshipped by Lakshmi's lord, delighting in the Srividya mantra, dweller within the Srichakra. The closing verse names the poems Chintamani and promises long life and learning to whoever reads them daily.
