- दधिशङ्खतुषाराभम् (dadhiśaṅkhatuṣārābham)bright as curd, conch and frost
- क्षीरार्णवसमुद्भवम् (kṣīrārṇavasamudbhavam)risen from the ocean of milk
- नमामि (namāmi)I bow
- शशिनम् सोमम् (śaśinam somam)to the moon, to Soma
- शम्भोः मकुटभूषणम् (śambhoḥ makuṭabhūṣaṇam)the crest-jewel of Śambhu
कलाधरः कालहेतुः कामकृत्कामदायकः ।
दशाश्वरध संरूढ दण्डपाणिर्थनुर्धरः ॥ 2 ॥

- कलाधरः (kalādharaḥ)bearer of the digits

- दशाश्वरथसंरूढः (daśāśvarathasaṃrūḍhaḥ)mounted on a chariot of ten horses
- दण्डपाणिः (daṇḍapāṇiḥ)staff in hand
- धनुर्धरः (dhanurdharaḥ)bearing the bow
चन्द्रारिष्टेतु सम्प्राप्ते चन्द्र पूजाञ्च कारयेत् ।
चन्द्रध्यानं व्रपक्ष्यामि मनः पीडोशान्तये ॥ 3 ॥

- औदुम्बरनगावासः (audumbaranagāvāsaḥ)dwelling on the udumbara hill
- उदारः (udāraḥ)noble
- रोहिणीपतिः (rohiṇīpatiḥ)lord of Rohiṇī
श्वेत माल्याम्बरधरं श्वेतगन्दानुलेपनम् ।
श्वेतच्छत्र धरं देवं तं सोमं प्रणमाम्यहम् ॥ 5 ॥
