ಚನ್ದ್ರಾರಿಷ್ಟೇತು ಸಮ್ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತೇ ಚನ್ದ್ರ ಪೂಜಾಞ್ಚ ಕಾರಯೇತ್ ।
ಚನ್ದ್ರಧ್ಯಾನಂ ವ್ರಪಕ್ಷ್ಯಾಮಿ ಮನಃ ಪೀಡೋಶಾನ್ತಯೇ ॥ 3 ॥

- ಉದಾರಃ (udāraḥ)noble
- ರೋಹಿಣೀಪತಿಃ (rohiṇīpatiḥ)lord of Rohiṇī
ಶ್ವೇತ ಮಾಲ್ಯಾಮ್ಬರಧರಂ ಶ್ವೇತಗನ್ದಾನುಲೇಪನಮ್ ।
ಶ್ವೇತಚ್ಛತ್ರ ಧರಂ ದೇವಂ ತಂ ಸೋಮಂ ಪ್ರಣಮಾಮ್ಯಹಮ್ ॥ 5 ॥
