śrīganapati bhaja pragaṭa pārvatī

(Ganpati Ji Ki Aarti in English (IAST))

Krishnapal

Also known as ganpati aarti · ji ki aarti · ganpati ji aarti

An aarti that begins by seating him — worship Ganapati, made manifest, the undying one shining in Parvati's lap — and then fills the hall around him: Brahma and Vishnu and Shiva and all the gods performing the aarti, the trident-bearer counting himself fortunate, everyone gathered at Kailasa, the gandharvas intent on their singing, and a rain of flowers coming down. Its middle verses are a reckoning of what he is worth: a wish-cow, a wishing-jewel, the tree of heaven, the giver of the four aims, and the twelve names. Then the icon arrives in one breath — elephant-faced, one tusk, four arms with the modaka in the palm, the goad and the axe, a snake for a sacred thread, three eyes, the moon at the brow, and the mouse beneath.
