Also known as shri pratyangira dandakam · shree pratyangira dandakam · pratyangira dandakam
A daṇḍaka, which is a metre rather than a genre — very long lines that run on without a break, so the text reads as a single sustained utterance and is meant to be spoken in one unbroken flow. Its opening prayer sets the goddess where this tradition places her: dwelling always in the cremation ground at Karavīra, mounted upon a corpse for the good of those who bow; white as the moon and as snow, five-faced, ten-armed, the primal one; and she is identified there with Siddhilakṣmī. The daṇḍaka itself then addresses her as mother of the world and describes the gods bowing at her feet, so that the pollen of the mandāra garlands on the crowns of Hari, Hara and Brahmā gathers on her lotus feet. It closes by asking her to drive off all the speaker's wrongdoing, and ends on the seed-syllables it opened with.
Script: Devanagari (देवनागरी) — also the script of Hindi, Marathi, Nepali and Konkani.
