శ్రీ సూర్య పఞ్జర స్తోత్రమ్

Oṃ — Approaching the eastern mountain, Bhāskara (the Radiant Sun) holds a lotus in his hand. He is the eye of all the worlds, comparable to a jeweled cord. He is the lion that slays the elephant of darkness, the awakener of the lotus-maidens — may that most excellent of gods, the beautiful illuminator of the universe, be worshipped. (1)

Oṃ — Salutation to Bhāskara at the crown. Salutation to Sūrya at the forehead. Salutation to Bhānu at the center of the brows. Salutation to Divākara at the ears. Salutation to Bhānu at the nose. Salutation to Savitṛ at the eyes. Salutation to Bhāskara at the face. Salutation to Parjanya at the lips. Salutation to Prabhākara at the feet. (2)

Oṃ Hrāṃ Hrīṃ Hrūṃ Hraiṃ Hrauṃ Hraḥ. Oṃ Haṃsāṃ Haṃsīṃ Haṃsūṃ Haṃsaiṃ Haṃsauṃ Haṃsaḥ. (3)

Oṃ — To the one wreathed in truly blazing flames, with a jeweled vessel, Huṃ Phaṭ Svāhā. Oṃ — May the one who is the very cause of all existence protect me in the Eastern quarter. (4)

Oṃ — To the one wreathed in Brahmic blazing flames, with a jeweled vessel, Huṃ Phaṭ Svāhā. Oṃ — May the one who is the form of the transcendent Brahman, the destroyer of all hostile yantras, tantras, mantras and afflictions, protect me in the Southern quarter. (5)

Oṃ — To the one wreathed in Viṣṇu's blazing flames, with a jeweled vessel, Huṃ Phaṭ Svāhā. Oṃ — May the fierce Mārtāṇḍa of terrible radiance, of mirror-like hue and blazing color, for the subjugation of all kings, women and men unto me, protect me in the Western quarter. (6)

Oṃ — To the one wreathed in Rudra's blazing flames, with a jeweled vessel, Huṃ Phaṭ Svāhā. Oṃ — May the one who is Bhava, bearing the form of Rudra, for the removal of all deaths, protect me in the Northern quarter. (7)

Oṃ — To the one wreathed in Fire's blazing flames, with a jeweled vessel, Huṃ Phaṭ Svāhā. Oṃ — May the one whose radiance dispels darkness, the remover of all diseases, protect me in the Upper quarter. (8)

Oṃ — To the one wreathed in all-encompassing blazing flames, with a jeweled vessel, Huṃ Phaṭ Svāhā. Oṃ — May Śrī Sūrya Nārāyaṇa, beloved of salutations, for the fulfillment of all desires, protect me in the Lower quarter. (9)
