Language:Sanskrit

The Subrahmanya Ashtottara Shata Nama Stotram is a sacred hymn dedicated to Lord Kartikeya, the divine commander-in-chief of the celestial armies. Originating from the Rudrayamala Tantra, this stotra lists the one hundred and eight auspicious names of the deity, each highlighting his divine attributes, valor, and protective nature. Devotees chant this powerful stotra to invoke the blessings of Lord Murugan for overcoming obstacles, conquering internal and external foes, and gaining spiritual wisdom. Regular recitation is believed to grant mental clarity, physical health, and the courage required to navigate life's challenges with grace and strength.
Dhyāna — I meditate upon him: holding the Śakti spear (śaktihastam), with differently beautiful eyes (virūpākṣam), whose vehicle is the peacock (śikhivāham), the six-faced (ṣaḍānanam), terrible to enemies and destroyer of their afflictions (dāruṇam ripurōghagnam) — I contemplate the one whose banner bears the rooster (kukkuṭadhvajam).
