ഓം ഉഗ്രം വീരം മഹാവിഷ്ണും

The Ugraṁ Vīraṁ Mahāviṣṇuṁ is a celebrated single-verse mantra addressed to Narasiṁha, the man-lion incarnation of Lord Viṣṇu. Known as the Narasiṁha Mantra, it praises the deity's twofold nature — at once ugraṁ vīraṁ bhīṣaṇaṁ (ferocious, valiant, and terrifying) toward evil, yet bhadraṁ (auspicious and gracious) toward devotees.
