ઈશ્વર ઉવાચ।
શૃણુ દેવિ પ્રવક્ષ્યામિ કવચં સર્વસિદ્ધિદમ્ ।
પઠિત્વા પાઠયિત્વા ચ નરો મુચ્યેત સઙ્કટાત્ ॥ ૧ ॥

અજ્ઞાત્વા કવચં દેવિ દુર્ગામન્ત્રં ચ યો જપેત્ ।
સ નાપ્નોતિ ફલં તસ્ય પરં ચ નરકં વ્રજેત્ ॥ ૨ ॥

ઇદં ગુહ્યતમં દેવિ કવચં તવ કથ્યતે ।
ગોપનીયં પ્રયત્નેન સાવધાનવધારય ॥ ૩ ॥

ઉમાદેવી શિરઃ પાતુ લલાટે શૂલધારિણી ।
ચક્ષુષી ખેચરી પાતુ કર્ણૌ ચત્વરવાસિની ॥ ૪ ॥

સુગન્ધા નાસિકે પાતુ વદનં સર્વધારિણી । સર્વસાધિની
