மந்த்ரவிக்ரஹ whose body is the mantra — This kavacha is built from Maha Ganapati's mantra, oṃ śrīṃ hrīṃ klīṃ glauṃ gaṃ gaṇapataye varavarada sarvajanaṃ me vaśam ānaya svāhā. The verses that follow place its syllables one by one on the body.
ஸர்வஜநம் மே வஶமாநய bring all people under my sway — The closing words of the mantra, asking that everyone be well disposed to the one who prays.
note The viniyoga names the seer, metre and deity and sets out the parts of the mantra. The seed syllables are chanted as they are and not translated.
