The divine sages praise Ganesha in the sixty-fifth chapter of the Mudgala Purana's Ekadanta Charita, and the hymn is built almost entirely out of one word: jaya, victory, repeated at the head of every half-line for nine verses together. He is hailed as Pushtipati, lord of nourishment, and as Dhundhi, the name Kashi gives him; as the ground of endless qualities and the giver of accomplishment; as the one who knows the argument of the Vedanta and is its cause; as the player in maya, unmanifest and elephant-faced, the witness in the great belly; as the one who holds the single tusk, the noose and goad and axe; as dweller in the heart of the yogis, destroyer of poor thinking. The tenth verse drops the litany for a slower measure of fourfold salutation, ending with the giver of great happiness.

దేవర్షయ ఊచుః ।
జయ దేవ గణాధీశ జయ విఘ్నహరావ్యయ ।
జయ పుష్టిపతే ఢుణ్ఢే జయ సర్వేశ సత్తమ ॥ ౧ ॥
జయానన్త గుణాధార జయ సిద్ధిప్రద ప్రభో ।
జయ యోగేన యోగాత్మన్ జయ శాన్తిప్రదాయక ॥ ౨ ॥
జయ బ్రహ్మేశ సర్వజ్ఞ జయ సర్వప్రియఙ్కర ।
జయ స్వానన్దపస్థాయిన్ జయ వేదవిదాంవర ॥ ౩ ॥
జయ వేదాన్తవాదజ్ఞ జయ వేదాన్తకారణ ।
జయ బుద్ధిధర ప్రాజ్ఞ జయ సర్వామరప్రియ ॥ ౪ ॥
జయ మాయామయే ఖేలిన్ జయావ్యక్త గజానన ।
జయ లమ్బోదరః సాక్షిన్ జయ దుర్మతినాశన ॥ ౫ ॥
జయైకదన్తహస్తస్త్వం జయైకరదధారక ।
జయ యోగిహృదిస్థ త్వం జయ బ్రాహ్మణపూజిత ॥ ౬ ॥
జయ కర్మ తపోరూప జయ జ్ఞానప్రదాయక ।
జయామేయ మహాభాగ జయ పూర్ణమనోరథ ॥ ౭ ॥
జయానన్ద గణేశాన జయ పాశాఙ్కుశప్రియ ।
జయ పర్శుధర త్వం వై జయ పావనకారక ॥ ౮ ॥
జయ భక్తాభయాధ్యక్ష జయ భక్తమహాప్రియ ।
జయ భక్తేశ విఘ్నేశ జయ నాథ మహోదర ॥ ౯ ॥
నమో నమస్తే గణనాయకాయ
