A Rigvedic sukta recited as a Ganesha sukta, and the honest thing to say about it is that its verses are addressed to Indra. Come to us, Indra, wonderful one, seizer of the prize, gather it up with your great right hand; we know you for the mighty worker, the great giver, the greatly bountiful. Neither gods nor mortals hold you back, hero, when you mean to give, any more than they would hold back a terrible bull. What attaches it to Ganesha is the epithet great-handed, and the old association of Indra with the leader of hosts — the same route by which the Brahmanaspati sukta became a Ganesha text. It is used at the head of Ganesha worship rather than composed for it, and it closes with the threefold peace.

আ তূ ন ইন্দ্ৰ ক্ষুমন্তং চিত্ৰ গ্ৰাভ সং গৃভায । মহাহস্তী দক্ষিণেন ॥ ১ ॥
ৱিদ্যা হি ত্ৱা তুৱিকূৰ্মি তুৱিদেষ্ণং তুৱীমঘম্ । তুৱিমাত্ৰমৱোভিঃ ॥ ২ ॥
নহি ত্ৱা শূৰ দেৱা ন মৰ্তাসো দিত্সন্তম্ । ভীমং ন গাং ৱাৰযন্তে ॥ ৩ ॥
এতো ন্ৱিন্দ্ৰং স্তৱামেশানং ৱস্ৱঃ স্ৱৰাজম্ । ন ৰাধসা মধিষন্নঃ ॥ ৪ ॥
প্ৰ স্তোষদুপ গাসিষচ্ছুৱত্সাম গীযমানং । অভি ৰাধসা জুগুৰত্ ॥ ৫ ॥
আ না ভৰ দক্ষিণেনাভি সব্যেন প্ৰ মৃশ । ইন্দ্ৰ মা নো ৱসোৰ্নিৰ্ভাক্ ॥ ৬ ॥
উপ ক্ৰমস্ৱা ভৰ ধৃষতা ধৃষ্ণো জনানাং । অদাশূষ্টৰস্য ৱেদঃ ॥ ৭ ॥
ইন্দ্ৰ য উ নু তে অস্তি ৱাজো ৱিপ্ৰেভি সনিত্ৱঃ । অস্মাভিঃ সু তং সনুহি ॥ ৮ ॥
সদ্যোজুৱস্তে ৱাজা অস্মভ্যং ৱিশ্ৱশ্ৱন্দ্ৰাঃ । ৱশৈশ্ৱ মশ্ষূ জৰন্তে ॥ ৯ ॥
ওঁ গণানাং ত্ৱা গণপতিং হৱামহে কৱিং কৱিনামুপম শ্ৰৱস্তমম্ ।
জ্যেষ্ঠ ৰাজং ব্ৰহ্মণাং ব্ৰহ্মণস্পত আ নঃ শ্ৰৃণ্ৱন্নূতিভিঃ সীদ সাদনম্ ॥ ১০ ॥
নি ষু সীদ গণপতে গণেষু ত্ৱামাহুৰ্ৱিপ্ৰংতমং কৱীনাম্ ।
ন ঋতে ত্ৱত্ক্ৰিযতে কিং চনাৰে মহামৰ্কং মঘৱঞ্চিত্ৰমৰ্চ ॥ ১১ ॥
অভিখ্যানো মঘৱন্নাধমানান্ত্সখে বোধি ৱসুপতে সখীনাম্ ।
ৰণং কৃধি ৰণকৃত্সত্যশুষ্মাভক্তে চিদা ভজা ৰাযে অস্মান্ ॥ ১২ ॥
