This sacred hymn invokes the one hundred and eight auspicious names of Shukra, the planet Venus and the preceptor of the Daityas in Vedic astrology. Derived from Puranic literature, the stotra extols his brilliance, wisdom, and role as a cosmic teacher of knowledge and diplomacy. Devotees chant these names to seek his divine blessings for wealth, artistic talent, and marital harmony. Regular recitation is believed to mitigate the malefic effects of Shukra in one's horoscope, replace struggles with prosperity, and bestow spiritual refinement, ultimately bringing balance and aesthetic grace into the practitioner's daily life.
