ବୁଧ ଗ୍ରହ ପଞ୍ଚରତ୍ନ ସ୍ତୋତ୍ରମ୍

I bow to Budha (Mercury), dark as the bud of the priyangu blossom, of incomparable beauty, gentle, endowed with all gentle qualities. (1)

Born in the lineage of Atri, exceedingly humble, purifier of the world; of the colour of the champaka blossom, a wandering one, of beautiful ornaments — (2)

True in speech, firm in resolve, a friend to the truthful, always respectful; remover of all disease, averter of all death — (3)

One should meditate on the son of Soma, mounted on a lion, four-armed, holding sword, shield, and mace, greatly gentle, the giver of all accomplishments. (4)

I bow to that gentle Saumya, Budha, worshipped by the wise, of gladdened mind, bestower of blessings, whose hand is raised in the gesture of granting boons. (5)
