અસ્ય શ્રી ચન્દ્ર કવચસ્ય । ગૌતમ ઋષિઃ । અનુષ્ટુપ્ છન્દઃ । શ્રી ચન્દ્રો દેવતા । ચન્દ્ર પ્રીત્યર્થે જપે વિનિયોગઃ ॥
ધ્યાનં
સમં ચતુર્ભુજં વન્દે કેયૂર મકુટોજ્વલમ્ ।
વાસુદેવસ્ય નયનં શઙ્કરસ્ય ચ ભૂષણમ્ ॥
એવં ધ્યાત્વા જપેન્નિત્યં શશિનઃ કવચં શુભમ્ ॥
અથ ચન્દ્ર કવચમ્
શશી પાતુ શિરોદેશં ભાલં પાતુ કલાનિધિઃ ।
ચક્ષુષી ચન્દ્રમાઃ પાતુ શ્રુતી પાતુ નિશાપતિઃ ॥ 1 ॥
પ્રાણં ક્ષપકરઃ પાતુ મુખં કુમુદબાન્ધવઃ ।
પાતુ કણ્ઠં ચ મે સોમઃ સ્કન્ધે જૈવાતૃકસ્તથા ॥ 2 ॥
કરૌ સુધાકરઃ પાતુ વક્ષઃ પાતુ નિશાકરઃ ।
હૃદયં પાતુ મે ચન્દ્રો નાભિં શઙ્કરભૂષણઃ ॥ 3 ॥
મધ્યં પાતુ સુરશ્રેષ્ઠઃ કટિં પાતુ સુધાકરઃ ।
ઊરૂ તારાપતિઃ પાતુ મૃગાઙ્કો જાનુની સદા ॥ 4 ॥
અબ્ધિજઃ પાતુ મે જઙ્ઘે પાતુ પાદૌ વિધુઃ સદા ।
સર્વાણ્યન્યાનિ ચાઙ્ગાનિ પાતુ ચન્દ્રોખિલં વપુઃ ॥ 5 ॥
ફલશ્રુતિઃ
એતદ્ધિ કવચં દિવ્યં ભુક્તિ મુક્તિ પ્રદાયકમ્ ।
યઃ પઠેચ્છૃણુયાદ્વાપિ સર્વત્ર વિજયી ભવેત્ ॥ 6 ॥
॥ ઇતિ શ્રીચન્દ્ર કવચં સમ્પૂર્ણમ્ ॥
