শ্ৰী ভদ্ৰকালী অষ্টোত্তৰ শত নামা স্তোত্ৰং

Śrī Nandikēśvara said: I worship Bhadrakāḷī — auspicious companion of Vīrabhadra, whose lotus feet are adored by devoted beings, bestower of happiness and every good fortune.

The Stotram begins — Names 1–7: Bhadrakāḷī (the auspicious Kāḷī), Kāmarūpā (she of desired forms), Mahāvidyā (the great wisdom), Yaśasvinī (the glorious), Mahāśrayā (the great refuge), Mahābhāgā (the supremely blessed), Dakṣayāgavibhēdinī (who disrupted Dakṣa's sacrifice).

Names 8–14: Rudrakōpasamudbhūtā (born from Rudra's fury), Bhadrā (the auspicious), Mudrā (the sacred seal), Śivaṅkarī (who causes auspiciousness), Chandrikā (radiant as moonlight), Chandravadanā (moon-faced), Rōṣatāmrākṣaśōbhinī (beautiful with eyes glowing red in righteous fury).

Names 82–91: Śōbhā (splendor), Bhagavatī (the divine Goddess), Māyā (the world-weaving power), Durgā (the inaccessible), Nīlā (the dark-blue, the mysterious), Manōgatiḥ (swift as thought), Khēcharī (the sky-wanderer), Khaḍginī (bearing a sword), Chakrahastā (holding the discus), Śūlavidhāriṇī (wielding the trident).

Names 92–98: Subāṇā (bearing fine arrows), Śaktihastā (with the spear in hand), Pādasañchāriṇī (who moves with divine grace), Parā (the supreme), Tapaḥsiddhipradā (granter of ascetic perfection), Dēvī (the Goddess), Vīrabhadrasahāyinī (companion and helper of Vīrabhadra).

Names 99–103: Dhanadhānyakarī (creator of wealth and grain), Viśvā (the universal one), Manōmālinyahāriṇī (remover of mental impurity), Sunakṣatrōdbhavakarī (who brings auspicious births under good stars), Vaṃśavṛddhipradāyinī (bestower of dynastic growth and lineage).

Names 104–108: Brahmādisurasaṃsēvyā (served by Brahmā and all the gods), Śāṅkarī (she of Śaṅkara, belonging to Śiva), Priyabhāṣiṇī (sweet and loving of speech), Bhūtaprētapiśāchādihāriṇī (remover of ghosts, goblins, and evil spirits), Sumanasvinī (the noble-hearted, the clear-minded).

Closing of the 108 names — Puṇyakṣētrakṛtāvāsā (who dwells at holy pilgrimage sites), Pratyakṣaparamēśvarī (Supreme Goddess who reveals herself directly to her devotees) — thus are the one hundred and eight names of Bhadrakāḷī known.

Phalaśruti — Merit, glory, long life, sons and grandsons, and abundant wealth — the Goddess swiftly bestows all this upon whoever recites this excellent stotram.

Especially on Tuesday, Friday, and the full moon day — having bathed at dawn and performed one's daily rites, with sincere devotion —

— having worshipped blessed Bhadrakāḷī, served by the gods, in the temple of Vīrabhadra — one should recite this divine, auspicious stotram, which bestows manifold enjoyments.

The wise devotee swiftly attains the fulfillment of all his desires. Alternatively, one may worship the consort of Vīrabhadra in one's own home —

— and reciting this stotram according to the prescribed method, one obtains all desires. Diseases are swiftly destroyed, and one also attains the perfection of yoga.

Teach this stotram to the devotees of Sanatkumāra — it is a secret teaching, the very essence of all wisdom. One who imparts it shall become all-knowing.
