Lord Ganesha

श्री गणनाथ स्तोत्रम् (गर्भ उवाच)

(Sri Gananatha Stotram Garbha Uvaca)

Also known as sri gananatha stotram · gananatha stotram · garbha krita ganesha stotram

A hymn spoken from inside the womb — the heading names its speaker simply as Garbha, the unborn child — and its argument follows from where it is being said. Salutation to the lord of the hosts, to brahman whose form is brahman, to the protector of those who have no protector, to the lord of obstacles. To the eldest king, to the god, to the form that is lord of the gods of gods; to the beginningless, the supreme lord, to you who are worshipped first. The last verse drops the epithets and asks the one thing the situation calls for: protect me from the suffering of the womb; I have come to you for refuge; make me free of birth and death, one who loves your feet.
