ଜ୍ଯୋତିର୍ମଯାଯ ପରମେଶ୍ଵରଲୋଚନାଯ ।
ମନ୍ଦେହଦୈତ୍ଯଭୁଜଗର୍ଵଵିଭଞ୍ଜନାଯ
ସୂର୍ଯାଯ ତୀଵ୍ରକିରଣାଯ ନମୋ ନମସ୍ତେ ॥ 1 ॥
ଜ୍ଯୋତିର୍ମଯାଯ ପରମେଶ୍ଵରଲୋଚନାଯ ।
ମନ୍ଦେହଦୈତ୍ଯଭୁଜଗର୍ଵଵିଭଞ୍ଜନାଯ
ସୂର୍ଯାଯ ତୀଵ୍ରକିରଣାଯ ନମୋ ନମସ୍ତେ ॥ 1 ॥
- ଗାଢ-ଅନ୍ଧକାର-ହରଣାଯ (gāḍha-andhakāra-haraṇāya)to the remover of dense darkness
- ଜଗତ୍-ହିତାଯ (jagat-hitāya)to the benefactor of the world
- ଜ୍ଯୋତିର୍-ମଯାଯ (jyotir-mayāya)to him made of light
- ପରମେଶ୍ଵର-ଲୋଚନାଯ (parameśvara-locanāya)to the eye of the Supreme Lord
- ମନ୍ଦେହ-ଦୈତ୍ଯ-ଭୁଜ-ଗର୍ଵ-ଵିଭଞ୍ଜନାଯ (mandeha-daitya-bhuja-garva-vibhañjanāya)to the shatterer of the Mandeha demons’ pride of arm
- ସୂର୍ଯାଯ (sūryāya)to Sūrya
- ତୀଵ୍ର-କିରଣାଯ (tīvra-kiraṇāya)to him of intense rays

ସୌଵର୍ଣରତ୍ନମକୁଟାଯ ଵିକର୍ତନାଯ
ସୂର୍ଯାଯ ତୀଵ୍ରକିରଣାଯ ନମୋ ନମସ୍ତେ ॥ 2 ॥
ସୁରୋତ୍ତମାଯ ସରସୀରୁହବାନ୍ଧଵାଯ ।
ସୌଵର୍ଣରତ୍ନମକୁଟାଯ ଵିକର୍ତନାଯ
ସୂର୍ଯାଯ ତୀଵ୍ରକିରଣାଯ ନମୋ ନମସ୍ତେ ॥ 2 ॥
- ଛାଯା-ପ୍ରିଯାଯ (chāyā-priyāya)to him dear to Chāyā, his shade-consort
- ମଣି-କୁଣ୍ଡଲ-ମଣ୍ଡିତାଯ (maṇi-kuṇḍala-maṇḍitāya)to him adorned with jewelled earrings
- ସୁର-ଉତ୍ତମାଯ (sura-uttamāya)to the best among the gods
- ସରସୀରୁହ-ବାନ୍ଧଵାଯ (sarasīruha-bāndhavāya)to the kinsman of the lotus
- ସୌଵର୍ଣ-ରତ୍ନ-ମକୁଟାଯ (sauvarṇa-ratna-makuṭāya)to him crowned with a golden gem-set diadem
- ଵିକର୍ତନାଯ (vikartanāya)to Vikartana, the cutter through of darkness

ସୂର୍ଯାଯ ତୀଵ୍ରକିରଣାଯ ନମୋ ନମସ୍ତେ ॥ 3 ॥
ଗୌରୀଶପଙ୍କଜଭଵାଚ୍ଯୁତଵିଗ୍ରହାଯ ।
ଲୋକେକ୍ଷଣାଯ ତପନାଯ ଦିଵାକରାଯ
ସୂର୍ଯାଯ ତୀଵ୍ରକିରଣାଯ ନମୋ ନମସ୍ତେ ॥ 3 ॥
- ସଞ୍ଜ୍ଞା-ଵଧୂ-ହୃଦଯ-ପଙ୍କଜ-ଷଟ୍-ପଦାଯ (sañjñā-vadhū-hṛdaya-paṅkaja-ṣaṭ-padāya)to the bee upon the lotus-heart of his bride Saṃjñā
- ଗୌରୀଶ-ପଙ୍କଜଭଵ-ଅଚ୍ଯୁତ-ଵିଗ୍ରହାଯ (gaurīśa-paṅkajabhava-acyuta-vigrahāya)to him whose body is Gaurī’s lord Śiva, the lotus-born Brahmā, and Acyuta
- ଲୋକ-ଈକ୍ଷଣାଯ (loka-īkṣaṇāya)to the eye of the worlds

ରକ୍ତାମ୍ବରାଯ ଶରଣାଗତଵତ୍ସଲାଯ ।
ଜାମ୍ବୂନଦାମ୍ବୁଜକରାଯ ଦିନେଶ୍ଵରାଯ
ସୂର୍ଯାଯ ତୀଵ୍ରକିରଣାଯ ନମୋ ନମସ୍ତେ ॥ 4 ॥
- ସପ୍ତ-ଅଶ୍ଵ-ବଦ୍ଧ-ଶକଟାଯ (sapta-aśva-baddha-śakaṭāya)to him whose car is yoked to seven horses
- ଗ୍ରହ-ଅଧିପାଯ (graha-adhipāya)to the lord of the planets
- ରକ୍ତ-ଅମ୍ବରାଯ (rakta-ambarāya)to him robed in crimson
- ଶରଣ-ଆଗତ-ଵତ୍ସଲାଯ (śaraṇa-āgata-vatsalāya)to him tender toward all who come for refuge
- ଜାମ୍ବୂନଦ-ଅମ୍ବୁଜ-କରାଯ (jāmbūnada-ambuja-karāya)to him who holds a lotus of Jambū-river gold
- ଦିନ-ଈଶ୍ଵରାଯ (dina-īśvarāya)to the lord of the day

ସୂର୍ଯାଯ ତୀଵ୍ରକିରଣାଯ ନମୋ ନମସ୍ତେ ॥ 5 ॥
ତୋଯାପହାଯ କରୁଣାମୃତସାଗରାଯ ।
ନାରାଯଣାଯ ଵିଵିଧାମରଵନ୍ଦିତାଯ
ସୂର୍ଯାଯ ତୀଵ୍ରକିରଣାଯ ନମୋ ନମସ୍ତେ ॥ 5 ॥
- ଆମ୍ନାଯ-ଭାର-ଭରଣାଯ (āmnāya-bhāra-bharaṇāya)to him who bears the weight of the Vedic tradition
- ଜଲ-ପ୍ରଦାଯ (jala-pradāya)to the giver of water
- ତୋଯ-ଅପହାଯ (toya-apahāya)to him who draws the water back again
- କରୁଣା-ଅମୃତ-ସାଗରାଯ (karuṇā-amṛta-sāgarāya)to the ocean of the nectar of compassion
- ନାରାଯଣାଯ (nārāyaṇāya)to Nārāyaṇa
- ଵିଵିଧ-ଅମର-ଵନ୍ଦିତାଯ (vividha-amara-vanditāya)to him saluted by gods of every kind
- ସୂର୍ଯାଯ (sūryāya)to Sūrya
- ତୀଵ୍ର-କିରଣାଯ (tīvra-kiraṇāya)to him of intense rays
