Budha (Mercury / the wise), Budhārcita (worshipped by the wise), Saumya (gentle), Saumyacitta (of gentle mind), Śubhaprada (giver of auspiciousness), Dṛḍhavrata (firm in vow), Dṛḍhaphala (firm in fruits), Śrutijālaprabōdhaka (awakener through the web of the scriptures). (1)

Satyavāsa (dwelling in truth), Satyavacā (truthful in speech), Śreyasāṃ Pati (lord of all auspicious things), Avyaya (imperishable), Somaja (son of the Moon), Sukhada (giver of happiness), Śrīmān (the auspicious), Somavaṃśapradīpaka (luminary of the lunar lineage). (2)

Vedavid (knower of the Vedas), Vedatattvajña (knower of Vedic essence), Vedāntajñānabhāsvara (radiant with Vedānta knowledge), Vidyāvichakṣaṇa (discerning in all knowledge), Vibhu (all-pervading), Vidvatprītikara (the delight of the learned), Ṛja (the upright one). (3)

Arkeśānapradēśastha (stationed in the north-eastern zone of the Sun), Tarkaśāstraviśārada (adept in the science of logic), Praśānta (supremely peaceful), Prītisaṃyukta (endowed with love), Priyakṛt (the one who does pleasing things), Priyabhāṣaṇa (of pleasant speech). (15)

Medhāvī (of keen intellect), Mādhavāsakta (devoted to Mādhava / Viṣṇu), Mithunādhipati (lord of Gemini), Sudhī (of fine intellect), Kanyārāśipriya (fond of Virgo), Kāmaprada (fulfiller of desires), Ghanaphalāśraya (refuge of abundant fruits). (16)

By worshipping Budha with these one hundred and eight names according to proper procedure, one shall attain all desired objects.
