anvaya ശ്രീഉച്ഛിഷ്ടഗണപതിസഹസ്രനാമസ്തോത്രമ്

ഉച്ഛിഷ്ട Ucchishta — Literally what is left over, as food left on a plate. Ucchishta Ganapati is the tantric form worshipped outside the rules of purity that govern ordinary worship; his rites may be done with the mouth unwashed, which is where the name comes from.
note The hymn comes from the Rudrayamala Tantra and is spoken by Bhairava to the goddess. It is a tantric text, and some of its names and its closing instructions belong to rites that are kept for initiates.

നക്ഷത്ര the lunar mansions — The twenty-seven stations the moon passes through in a month. From here to the thirty-fourth verse after, the names are built on them in order: Ashvini, Bharani, Krittika, Rohini and the rest. The names do not say he is those stars; they borrow the stars' names to praise him.
