ଶ୍ରୀ ଵ୍ଯୂହ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ମୀ ମନ୍ତ୍ରମ୍

Her eyes like waves rolling with compassion, her face the equal of the full moon; the mother of all the worlds, Mahālakṣmī, beloved of Hari.

She alone takes away every sin, even that of accumulated karma; and she alone is the forbearance at the dissolution, the giver of all prosperity.

Among her arrayed forms is that Lakṣmī who destroys every sin; and there the Vyūha-Lakṣmī is she — gentle, whose very body is compassion.

Without effort that Lakṣmī destroys every sin and ever bestows all sovereignty. Hear now this mantra of hers.

One should utter the first sound of the Veda, then “to the Mother”, then “to Lakṣmī”, then the word of salutation; then having said “supreme”, then the word “of Lakṣmī”.

Then “to her who abides upon Viṣṇu’s breast”; then māyā (hrīṃ) and the śrī-syllable; the mantra ending with the consort of fire (svāhā). This is the wish-granting tree of every desired end.

The Vyūha-Lakṣmī is two-armed, fond of the bound lotus posture; seated at the middle of Śrīnivāsa’s body, exceedingly dear to Keśava.

Go to her alone for refuge, with your whole being, and swiftly. Having taught this mantra, he was seen no more anywhere.
