A hymn to Ganesha, not to Shiva — the title names Shiva and Shakti as its speakers, which is to say his own parents are the ones praising him, and that is the whole conceit of the piece. Salutation to you, lord of the hosts, salutation to the lord of the ganas; you who are fond of devotion, lord of the gods, giver of happiness to devotees. To you who dwell in Svananda, best of Siddhi and Buddhi, to the god at whose navel is Shesha, to you, Dhundhiraja, salutation. The names are the Mudgala Purana's rather than the popular ones, and the closing verse gives the ordinary domestic fruit without embarrassment: for one who reads and one who hears, enjoyment and release, sons and grandsons, wealth and grain and all the rest.

ശ്രീശക്തിശിവാവൂചതുഃ :
നമസ്തേ ഗണനാഥായ ഗണാനാം പതയേ നമഃ ।
ഭക്തിപ്രിയായ ദേവേശ ഭക്തേഭ്യഃ സുഖദായക ॥ ൧ ॥
സ്വാനന്ദവാസിനേ തുഭ്യം സിദ്ധിബുദ്ധിവരായ ച ।
നാഭിശേഷായ ദേവായ ഢുണ്ഢിരാജായ തേ നമഃ ॥ ൨ ॥
വരദാഭയഹസ്തായ നമഃ പരശുധാരിണേ ।
നമസ്തേ സൃണിഹസ്തായ നാഭിശേഷായ തേ നമഃ ॥ ൩ ॥
അനാമയായ സര്വായ സര്വപൂജ്യായ തേ നമഃ ।
സഗുണായ നമസ്തുഭ്യം ബ്രഹ്മണേ നിര്ഗുണായ ച ॥ ൪ ॥
ബ്രഹ്മഭ്യോ ബ്രഹ്മദാത്രേ ച ഗജാനന നമോഽസ്തു തേ ।
ജ്യേഷ്ഠായ ചാദിപൂജ്യായ ജ്യേഷ്ഠരാജായ തേ നമഃ ॥ ൫ ॥
മാത്രേ പിത്രേ ച സര്വേഷാം ഹേരമ്ബായ നമോ നമഃ ।
അനാദയേ ച വിഘ്നേശ വിഘ്നകര്ത്രേ നമോ നമഃ ॥ ൬ ॥
വിഘ്നഹര്ത്രേ സ്വഭക്താനാം ലമ്ബോദര നമോഽസ്തു തേ ।
ത്വദീയഭക്തിയോഗേന യോഗീശാഃ ശാന്തിമാഗതാഃ ॥ ൭ ॥
കിം സ്തുവോ യോഗരൂപം തം പ്രണമാവശ്ച വിഘ്നപ ।
തേന തുഷ്ടോ ഭവ സ്വാമിന്നിത്യുക്ത്വാ തം പ്രണേമതുഃ ।
താവുത്ഥാപ്യ ഗണാധീശ ഉവാചതൌ മഹേശ്വരൌ॥ ൮ ॥
ശ്രീഗണേശ ഉവാച:
ഭവത്കൃതമിദം സ്തോത്രം മമ ഭക്തിവിവര്ധനമ് ॥ ൯ ॥
ഭവിഷ്യതി ച സൌഖ്യസ്യ പഠതേ ശൃണ്വതേ പ്രദമ് ।
ഭുക്തിമുക്തിപ്രദം ചൈവ പുത്രപൌത്രാദികം തഥാ ।
ധനധാന്യാദികം സര്വം ലഭതേ തേന നിശ്ചിതമ് ॥ ൧൦ ॥
ഇതി ശിവശക്തികൃതം ശ്രീ ഗണാധീശ സ്തോത്രം സമ്പൂര്ണമ് ।
