suvarṇa varṇa sundaraṃ sitaika danta-bandhuraṃ
I worship the elephant-faced Lord who possesses a beautiful, golden complexion and is adorned with a single, charming tusk.
gṛhīta pāśa-maṅkuśaṃ varapradā-'bhayapradham |
He holds the noose and the elephant goad, and bestows both boons and protection upon His devotees.
caturbhujaṃ trilocanaṃ bhujaṅga-mopavītinaṃ
He is the four-armed one with three eyes, wearing a serpent as His sacred thread.
praphulla vārijāsanaṃ bhajāmi sindhurānanam ||
kirīṭa hāra kuṇḍalaṃ pradīpta bāhu bhūṣaṇaṃ
I worship the elephant-faced Lord, who is seated upon a fully blossomed lotus.
pracaṇḍa ratna kaṅkaṇaṃ praśobhitāṅghri-yaṣṭikam |
He is adorned with a radiant crown, necklace, earrings, and glowing armlets.
prabhāta sūrya sundarāmbara-dvaya pradhāriṇaṃ
He wears fierce, jewel-studded bracelets and possesses exquisitely beautiful legs.
saratna hemanūpura praśobhitāṅghri-paṅkajam ||
suvarṇa daṇḍa maṇḍita pracaṇḍa cāru cāmaraṃ
He is dressed in two beautiful garments that shine like the rising sun, and His lotus-like feet are decorated with golden, jewel-encrusted anklets.
gṛha pratīrṇa sundaraṃ yugakṣaṇa pramoditam |
He is embellished with a golden staff and beautiful, magnificent whisks, and He looks radiant as He enters the home to bring joy at every moment.
kavīndra cittarañjakaṃ mahā vipatti bhañjakaṃ
He brings delight to the minds of the wise and is the destroyer of all great calamities.
ṣaḍakṣara svarūpiṇaṃ bhajedgajendra rūpiṇam ||
viriñci viṣṇu vanditaṃ virupalocana stutiṃ
I worship the Lord who takes the form of the six-syllable mantra and appears in the majestic form of the elephant-king.
girīśa darśanecchayā samārpitaṃ parāśāyā |
With a desire to see the Lord of the mountains (Shiva), one surrenders all hopes and expectations to Him.
nirantaraṃ surāsuraiḥ suputra vāmalocanaiḥ
Always worshipped by the gods and demons, and attended by beautiful women with captivating eyes.
mahāmakheṣṭa-miṣṭa-karmanu bhajāmi tundilam ||
madaugha lubdha cañcalārka mañju guñjitā ravaṃ
I worship the pot-bellied Lord, who grants the desired fruits of great sacrifices, and whose sweet buzzing sounds are like bees intoxicated by the nectar of his own divine essence.
prabuddha cittarañjakaṃ pramoda karṇacālakam |
He who delights the awakened mind and gently flaps his ears, bestowing joy upon his devotees.
ananya bhakti mānanaṃ pracaṇḍa mukti dāyakaṃ
The one who is the object of undivided devotion and the powerful bestower of liberation.
namāmi nitya-mādareṇa vakratuṇḍa nāyakam ||
dāridrya vidrāvaṇa māśu kāmadaṃ
I bow daily with reverence to the curved-trunk leader, who swiftly banishes poverty and grants all desires.
stotraṃ paṭhèdeta-dajasra-mādarāt |
Whoever reads this hymn constantly with devotion.
putrī kalatra svajaneṣu maitrī
They shall enjoy the love and company of children, spouse, and kinsmen.
pumān-bhave-dekadanta varaprāsādāt ||
By the grace of the single-tusked Lord, a person shall attain all these blessings.
