- śrī gajānana stotramthe hymn to Shri Gajanana
- devarṣi kṛtammade by the divine sages
anvaya devarṣi kṛtam śrī gajānana stotram
chandas Prose, the title
note Despite the name this piece arrived under, it is not a hymn to the saint of Shegaon. Its colophon puts it in the forty-third chapter of the Gajanana Charita in the Mudgala Purana.

chandas Upajāti, 11 syllables in each of 4 pādas
sāṅkhya a reckoning — The word means counting, and also the school of thought that counts out the parts of the world. Here it is the reckoning that never comes to an end, since what it counts has no measure.
note Every verse of the hymn closes with the same line, filled with devotion, we worship Gajanana. What changes is what stands before it, and most of that is denial: one by one the verses take away the roads by which he might be reached.
